Over the last 6 months I have been working on a side project, starting a small business.  I designed and am now selling a product called Kanga Boo.  It was a case of “necessity being the mother of invention”.  In addition to being mom, aka, cook, maid, taxi…you get the idea, I have been setting up the business.  No small task!  I have so much respect for mom’s who work from home I have battled feeling guilty when I was working because I wasn’t playing with my kids.  Then guilty when I was playing with the kids and not working, ha!  Crazy circle.  The result of my struggles…

The Kanga Boo is a great product and I have received lots of positive feedback.  I’m excited to see what comes of my little adventure.  Even if it doesn’t amount to much I have learned so much during the process.  For example, the difference between a patent, trade mark, and copyright.  Head over to my site, thekangaboo.com  if you would like purchasing info or are just curious.  I’m also on facebook and Etsy.  End shameless plug 🙂

  1. Cute 🙂 I like the idea. 🙂 And adorable patterns. This would have been nice when my son was younger!
Good luck with the business! 🙂

I so wish I could do something like that. But I am scattered! I want to knit scarfs, but then I think painting my ceramics is more fun, then I like to design my blog, and then I think I don’t know enough for sure, etc etc. lol I have to find ONE thing and learn it well. 🙂

    • Thanks for the encouragement! My husband was a huge help. He encouraged me and kept me on track. Don’t think I could have done it with out him. I’m not a risk taker by nature 🙂
